The Highborn<\/p>

\u201cHow much for a portrait?\u201d five of the seven words she said to me that afternoon. I turn around and saw this tall figure, ragged sandals, dirty dress\u2026 and that beautiful cape covering her head. It was obvious she was trying her best to blend in, I could bet she was wearing the clothes of one of her maids.<\/p>

What was she doing here? What or who was she looking for on this side of the station?<\/p>

Even though the clothes alone were enough to know something was off, it wasn’t only that. The way she walked, her posture, how she talked; it was smart of her trying to say as little as possible, even the way she put her hands on her lap and looked beyond the camera, there was a whole story here, one I wasn\u2019t supposed to know about.<\/p>

I only wish someone would have told her that stelkat fabric wasn\u2019t sold on the lows. That cape alone could feed one of us for an entire year.<\/p>

“\u00bfCu\u00e1nto por un retrato?” cuatro de las cinco palabras que me dijo esa tarde. Me di la vuelta y vi esta figura alta, sandalias andrajosas, vestido sucio\u2026 y esa hermosa capa que le cubr\u00eda la cabeza. Era obvio que estaba haciendo todo lo posible por mezclarse, pod\u00eda apostar que vest\u00eda la ropa de una de sus doncellas.<\/p>

\u00bfQu\u00e9 estaba haciendo ella aqu\u00ed? \u00bfQu\u00e9 o a qui\u00e9n estaba buscando en este lado de la estaci\u00f3n?<\/p>

A pesar de que la ropa por s\u00ed sola era suficiente para saber que hab\u00eda algo raro, no era solo eso. La forma en que caminaba, su postura, c\u00f3mo hablaba; fue inteligente que tratara de decir lo menos posible, incluso la forma en que puso las manos en su regazo y mir\u00f3 m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la c\u00e1mara, hab\u00eda una historia aqu\u00ed, una que se supon\u00eda que yo no deb\u00eda conocer.<\/p>

Ojal\u00e1 alguien le hubiera dicho que la tela stelkat no se vend\u00eda en los bajos. Esa capa sola podr\u00eda alimentar a uno de nosotros durante todo un a\u00f1o.<\/p>
